This workshop will focus on the state of research about Pakistani minority communities and study of pre-Islamic heritage. This interdisciplinary meeting of scholars and US exchange alumni will explore the current state of minorities in Pakistan, research at leading universities, and a proposal for future research, capacity building, and funding. This would promote knowledge about non-Muslim minorities towards developing curriculum and further research that would support national goals.

Established in 1966 by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Masjid AI-Ansar is the oldest Muslim mosque in the state of Florida. Located in Miami’s historic Liberty City neighborhood, Masjid Al-Ansar has for over fifty years served as the vital center of a large community of activists, leaders, scholars and citizens who seek to honor Elijah Muhammad’s motto of “Do for Self” by enriching the world around them.
